boston week: part one!

Welcome to Boston, Massachusetts! We hope you've found your accommodations to your liking. It's Christmas week, so the streets are bustling along nicely, the trees are up, and decorations line Faneuil Hall. No snow just yet, but we hope you like the 30°F weather! (Might want to bundle up.)

Even around this time of year, there's much to be done in the city -- take a gander at some of the potential attractions on your brochure and get out there to go enjoy the sights!

((Host note: I'm starting the week off easy with a general RP, but come Wednesday, expect a new post with -- gasp -- tasks! Unfortunately, I just won't be a stable enough presence to maintain what I have planned until then. So for now, get settled in and have fun!

Feel free to go all around the city -- I've outlined/summarized some key areas to hit up in the list up there. If you're stumped on somewhere to go, hit up the mod thread and I'll make sure to point you in the right direction!))

Ha. I'm actually in Boston right now. And everyone I know is really disapointed about the lack of snow. What's the use of it being this cold if we aren't going to get snow?

*puts it back, then grabs a different bottle, retreating from the fridge and down the aisle as if it had deliberately offended her*

So, if you can't be in New York for Christmas, then I guess Boston is the next best place. They don't have Rockafella Center, or Times Square, or the Statue of Liberty. But I'm sure you can find something to do to amuse yourselves.

It looks like quite a few people already have.

Hapless ((Stiles)) and Hazardous ((Kara)) in Boston have managed to spill all kinds of junk food over the floor. Hazardous claims to be from Sweden. But from one secret keeper to another. I think its more than that. Much more. After all, who doesn't know how to open a bag of Cheetos. On the Upper East Side, we may never deign to eat them, but we'd still know how.

The Lone Pup ((Isaac)) seems to have a new friend, a new friend he's supposed to be telling about his sweetheart, but if you ask me, this Lone Pup seems a little confused. Maybe sometimes a chance meeting in a coffee shop is just that. And sometimes its a coffee date.

This is apparently Peeta's first Christmas. Welcome to the celebration of good friends and good enemies. While we keep one close and the other closer, don't forget presents, and the sinking dread of uncertainty, that that watch you got, actually means you're being held closer instead of close.

Puckerman the second ((Jake)) doesn't seemed pleased about being stuck in Boston with his family for the holiday. You and me both. But how do you think he'll feel when he finds out Puckerman the first ((Noah)) is here. Something tells me that Jake is a little like The Hulk, you wouldn't like him when he's angry...and he's always angry.
