European Train Ride Week

Lets see if I can get it right this time.

Sorry this is so late. Ended up in the hospital this afternoon. This will be a low key week because I don't have it in me for a lot of activities at the moment.



Welcome to The Ebbsfleet International Railway Station located to the east of London. From here, you will be catching the Eurostar train to Paris. Make sure you have your Eurail train pass handy. This is the pass that will allow you to travel throughout europe. If you lose this, you may have to buy a new ticket or remain where you are while the rest of us go on.


Feel free to have a look around the station. The train will be here shortly. As soon as it arrives, you can find your seat and then wander around and get to know your fellow travelers.

Day 2: Welcome to Paris. Feel free to wander around and enjoy the sites.

Day 3: Welcome to Amsterdam. There are sites to see for everyone. Check out the canals. Eat in one of the many fine restaurants. Or if you are into more risqué fun, check out the Red Light District. Here.

We'll be heading for Berlin in the morning.

Day 5:
Today we've arrived in Venice. Venice is really a collection of small islands connected by canals. Venice is the perfect city for couples. If you want to stay around, you can catch the Venice Carnival that begins the end of January. For now, you can take a romantic or relaxing Gondola ride. You can take a tour of the city by boat. You can crash in one of the many luxury hotels. There are museums, amazing architecture, or opera houses. If nightlife is your thing, there are jazz clubs, coffee houses, and pubs to enjoy.

Day 7: And our trip this week ends in Budapest. Stay as long as you like and enjoy your trip home.

He thought about protesting that he could do open the door too, but then he shrugged. "You're right, I am going to insist. I would also insist that I open the door too, but if you really want to, here you go." He held the keys out for her.

She bit her bottom lip a little when he said that he'd insist on opening the door too. She felt a little bit like she had to do something to earn her keep here. He was letting her stay with him in a hotel room that she could never afford even in her wildest dreams. Some place that she was pretty sure she wouldn't be good enough to even work at. And he was going to help her find her brother. And he was carrying her bags...she had to do something.

"yeah," she nods,"I feel like I should be doing something. You know? I'm not used to..." she trailed off not sure what to say aside from doing everything. But then he'd probably ask questions about that.

She was grateful when they got to the room. "Here we are." She opened the door, holding it for him to go in with the bags. And trying to not have her jaw drop at how big and nice the room was.

He raised his eyebrow at her. "You're not used to what?" He asked curiously.

He walked up to the open door and held it open with his foot, and motioned for her to go in first. "After you." he smiled at her.

When he walked in the room he put the bags down on the table and turned to the bed. He ran his hand trough his hair and looked at her "Shoot. I forgot to tell them to change it to 2 beds instead of one. I can call down and ask them to switch it for us." He gave her a questioning look asking her what she would prefer.

She really wishes he'd let her hold the door open for him or something here, but she nods and moves into the room, looking back at him. "I'm not used to not doing everything....for everyone else..." No one ever really did anything for her. She had trouble accepting sometimes.

She looked at him as if he were crazy. She couldn't imagine how much this room cost. and if they charged by the bed, she didn't want to know what an upgrade would cost. She shook her head. "Nah, there's no need. I mean we're both grown ups. And the bed is huge." Probably a king. "We can just share."

"Well you deserve things to be done for you too sometimes. Everybody does." He said.

He shrugged. He didn't mind sharing his bed with a beautiful woman if she didn't. "Okay. Sounds good to me." He turned around. "I'm going to go use the restroom. Make yourself at home."

She laughs a little. "Now you sound like Debbie." She pauses for a minute. "I'm just not very good at it, sitting back and letting other people do for me."

She nods to him. "Okay. You wanna get some food. Like room service?" She arches a brow, sure this place had room service. "Then you can try to call Lip. If he tells you to fuck off, don't take it personally."

He goes into the bathroom and she looks around the room, not sure where to put herself really. "Just make yourself at home." She muttered to herself and then she grinned, kicking her shoes off, and throwing herself into the middle of the bed, laying there on her back for a minute before rolling over to the bedside table to find the menu.

"Yeah, whatever you want to get is fine." He smiled and then chuckled when she told him that he will probably be cursed at when he calls her brother. "Duly noted."

When he walked back out of the bathroom he leaned up against the wall and watched her for a few minutes as she browsed through the room service menu. After a few minutes he asked, "Find anything that sounds good?"

She looks over the menu and she can't believe how much they want for everything. "Jesus," she mumbles, continuing to flip through it, waiting for him to come back out. She tried to weigh what she wanted with what she thought was appropriate to ask him to spend.

When he left the bathroom, she felt his eyes on her, watching her, checking her out. She smirked a little to herself. She rolls over onto her back, moving the menu to the middle of the bed, grinning up at him and nodding. "Yeah, there's a lot of things. I didn't know what you liked, so I waited."

Gestures in the direction of the book. "Come take a look."

He smiled back at her and flopped down on the bed next to her so he could see the book.

He scanned the pages infront of him. "I think a steak sounds pretty good to me. What were you thinking?" He asked turning his head to look at her.

She moves closer to him, her chin resting on his shoulder, to try to gauge how he might feel about something like this, as she looks over the menu with him.

When he says what he wants, she grins a bit. "I was actually thinking the same thing. It's one of my favorites. And I don't get it very often." she wonders if she shouldn't have said that, because it implies that she might be that girl from the wrong side of the tracks which she was.

"Let me get you some money." She felt that she had to at least offer.

He smiles a little wider when she feels his chin resting on her shoulder.

He nodded and grabbed the phone on the night stand and called room service to order the food. He ordered a few beers and hung up the phone.

He gently grabbed her wrist and pulled her back down onto the bed. "Don't even think about it. Do you really think I'm going to let you pay for meals? Not a chance in hell. It's my treat."

he gently grabs her wrist and it's the first time they've really touched, aside from his hand on her back earlier, and she hates the way it seems to feel electric.

She's both grateful and upset that he refused her money. Grateful because, well, she can't really afford it. Upset because she's feeling more and more indebted to him, and she's not sure she has many ways to pay this debt back. Unless he needs to scam someone one day or has a kid who needs to really pass the SATs or something.

"What're you doing? Trying to be my sugar daddy?" she teases him lightly.

He rolled his eyes at her and pushed her playfully. "Yeah, cus that's totally the type of guy I am."

He didn't want to but he slowly released his grip on her wrist to find his phone. "Why don't you give me your brother's number and I'll try and get ahold of him while we wait for the food." He placed his phone down infront of her. "And then, you can tell me more about yourself and what you like to do as we eat."

"Hey, I got no idea what kind of guy you are, I just met you," Fiona answers him, but the grin on her face shows, that even though she did just meet him, she knows.

She missed his touch almost immediately, and mentally smacked herself for being such a girl.

She picked up his phone and dialed Lip's number into it, since she knew it by heart, saving it, in case they needed to call him more than once. She hands it back to him. "Whenever you're ready."

"And you can tell me more about yourself and your friends back in Orange County," she couldn't help the twinge of sarcasm in her words. Because she knew just how different they were, how different any and all of their stories would be.

He reached over to grab his phone but let his hand linger on her for longer than necessary. He liked the feeling he got whenever they were touching. It was like it made all his spidey senses tingle.

He raised his eyebrow at her sarcasm and the fact that she had brought back up the fact that he lived in Orange County again. He didn't get it. Deciding now wasn't the time to bring it up, he picked the phone up and found Phillip's contact that he had just watched her save and pressed send.

He flipped over onto his back and laid next to her so his arm was brushing up against her side while he listened to the ringing hoping the the kid would answer his phone.

She moves a little closer to him, liking his warmth right now while she feels so incredibly lost. She pleaded with whatever higher power might be listening to have Lip answer his phone.

And she grinned a little, even if it stung that he wouldn't speak to her, when she heard him say,"Hello? Who the Hell is this?" On the other end of the phone.

He grabbed her hand and laced their fingers hoping that it would increase the odds of her brother answering the phone. Or at least that's what he told himself.

When Phillip answered the phone she felt her smile but he knew that it had to hurt that he would answer for some stranger and not his own sister. He gave her hand a small squeeze. "Hello. Is this Phillip?" He asked.

She didn't unlink her fingers from his, telling herself that it had to do with comfort, and hopes of Lip answering the phone.

"Depends. Who is this?" Phillip responds, and Fiona can't help but grin more at her brother's dismissive gruffness. And it's nice to not hear him being pissy at someone.

"My name is Seth Cohen. I'm a ... " friend? He thinks that's what they were. but he didn't really know. but it was gonna have to work for now. "friend of your sister's."

Phillip let's out a mirthless chuckle. "I don't think so. I know most of my sister's friends." his tone implied that he thought they had a flimsier relationship. Perhaps a more tawdry one.

"what exactly is she giving you in exchange for this little phone call?" he asks the other man.

"It doesn't really matter," she said,"Tell her to go fuck herself. I'm not coming home."

He looked down at her and gave her a questioning look as if to ask if her brother was always like this.

He ignored his first question. "Listen, i don't really know why you ran away or anything about you really, but I do know that your sister cares about you. Why else would she travel half way across world to come find you? She only wants what's best for you. So have a little respect for her and don't be an ass. Pick up the damn phone when she calls you."

Fiona felt two feelings war in her when Seth said that. First, she was happy that someone said it. That someone pointed out she was due some common courtesy. but she also felt feircely protective of Lip and a bit like who the fuck was this guy to call him that.

"Got it. You're new Steve," Phillip said into the phone. "Tell her if I come home, I'm not going back to fucking school." But even as he said it, he was starting to regret being mean to his sister because of his own personal crap. "Tell her to meet me tomorrow at 3," he said, giving Seth an address and then hanging up.

"I'm not the new anyone. I'm just trying to help." He said not quite knowing, but not liking the bite it had to it. "That's between you two. You can tell her yourself if you really mean it." Seth pulled his hand away from hers and grabbed the pad of paper and pen next to the bed and wrote down the address Phillip had given him. "I'll pass it along." He said and hung up the phone.

He put the pad back down next to the bed and turned to face her. "You're meeting him tomorrow at 3." He told her.

Fiona looked at him, her eyes widening, because she knew Lip well enough to know he was stubborn as hell when he wanted to be, a slow, wide smile broke out over her lips. "Really?"

she threw her arms around him, knowing he had to be in part responsible for that. "Thank you."

There was a knock at the door and she was grateful for an excuse to pull herself away from him.

"Sorry about him. he's not usually like that. but..." she didn't feel like making excuses for him, even if he did have good ones.

He smiled and nodded at her.

He wrapped his arms around her taking in the feeling of her body pressed against his and his smile grew wider. "You're welcome." He liked being able to help people, he definitely gets that from his dad.

When she pulled away from him he got up to go get the door.

He waved his hand as if to say forget about it. "Don't worry about it. I get it. We all have our skeletons in our closets."

He opened the door and let the man from room service in to put the food down. he pulled out his wallet and gave the guy a tip and then shut the door behind him.

He gestured toward the table for her. "Shall we?" He asked pulling out the chair for her.
