*There are rabbits and squirrels all over, but Charlie wants a little more of a challenge for herself. She sees some indications that there might be some sort of grouse or quail or other small game birds around and takes her time locating them and then flushing them out of hiding before bringing a couple down with her crossbow.*

*She starts heading back towards their camp to clean them there. She wonders the whole time how far he's gotten.*

Your fire, Mighty Huntress! *motions towards the campfire he got started and then bows*

And you'll ignore that travesty *points at the half constructed tent* And be overwhelmingly grateful that I focused my attention on the thing I thought mattered most to you.

Your dinner, sir.

*grins at the tent and shrugs* We have fire, food, and it's a nice night. *looks up at all the stars before looking back at him* Do we really need the tent with the sleeping bag?

No, I guess we don't. Looks like you got quite the haul. I will concede to your birds being far superior to any birds I may in the future provide for you.

*grabs a bird and starts working on its feathers* Gimpy, I didn't think you were about to let me forget it anyway. But don't worry, if it rains, I'll protect that pretty little head of yours.

Buy any nice lingerie to go with those new pants of yours? Because you could model it for me before we turn in for the night. I have a...great eye for fashion. *glances up at her from his work, smirking a little*

One of the older women in the village always said that we sure weren't made of sugar, so we wouldn't melt in the rain. *grins back at him*

You better have an eye for plucking feathers... All we bought was the outfit. And you already saw the top earlier. Kate actually told me I couldn't wear anything underneath it because of the way it's cut, so I didn't.

Didn't think to bring anything either. *shrugs. Of course she's got her jacket on now over one of her regular shirts, but the jeans got to stay*

You want to strip down out here and model? *laughs*. Not so bad by the fire, but... It's too chilly away from it.

*laughs at him and pushes his hand away* What would you make me out of feathers? These two aren't the biggest things. I'd practically be naked and I'd rather that than feathers poking at me while I try to sleep. *grins*

You have the oddest ideas.

Would you wear nothing but feathers? I don't think so. They work for ducks, but I think these would look awful if you got them wet.

*jumps up and strips his jeans off, sticking feathers in the waistband of his underwear*

*falls back on the ground laughing up at him, glad she'd already gotten their food on spits or it would have had some lovely dirt flavoring*

Works for what? *she grins and shakes her head and moves to stand up, putting the meat over the fire* Becoming King of the Birds? Conquering the air as well as the sea?

You're gonna freeze like that. *she moves towards him and picks up his pants.* You have to wait to freeze at least until after we eat. Or maybe after figuring out these marshmallows. Hopefully not until after you've kept me warm, because you sure as hell won't generate body heat after you're dead.

Well, Charlotte, I didn't know you were so looking forward to cuddling with me tonight. In that case *pulls all the feathers out and throws them on the ground except for one, which he tucks in her hair, and then pulls on his pants*

Don't forget, if I freeze to death, you promised me three tears. And I will haunt you if you don't follow through.

*plops back down on the ground* How much longer? I'm starving.

*blushes a little when he tucks the feather in her hair and then goes to check on the birds, rotating them*

It shouldn't take that much longer.

Long enough for me to work up three tears. *grins*

*hands him his when they are done and then sits back on the ground with a happy sigh*

*takes a huge bite of his bird and moans* Heavenly. You a chef back home, Charlotte?

*smiles a little sadly* No...No leads on Danny yet. Miles, my Uncle, he doesn't seem to know how he got here either, so we haven't... Soon though. Hopefully.

It's not bad on it's own though... They must be fattening up for winter.

Get some sharp pointy sticks that don't have bird blood on them. I'm pretty sure I know how this works.

*looks into the fire for a second and then back at her with a mischievous grin on his face* But I think we should wear matching feather outfits if we're going to team up.

Are you gonna design them? You did so well with yours earlier.

*she follows his lead, holding her marshmallows over the flames and twisting it slowly in her fingers. She catches herself glancing back at him, wondering what happened to his family and she's startled when her marshmallow's catch fire*

Oh! *she pulls them away from the fire and blows on them to put the fire out* I don't think that was...what was supposed to happen... *sheepish look* Guess that blows the chef thing out of the water, huh?
