A Week in Rural Scotland

Thank you for joining us here in picturesque Glen Macalie, on the shore of Loch Leven in the Grampian Mountains of Scotland. We welcome you to the campus of the Glen Macalie School for Girls and hope that you will enjoy your stay.


This week will largely be unstructured; you are welcome to investigate the castle (which dates back to 1237 CE) and the nearby village of Glen Macalie. Some resources which will be available to you include:

In the castle:
Comprehensive Library
Modern Kitchens
State of the art Training/Exercise Room
Extensively landscaped grounds and gardens
Horseback Riding
Fishing
Hiking

In the village:
Shopping
Pubs and restaurants
Museum
Historical buildings
Golf

We ask only that you take care to observe the following rules:

1) Please do not leave campus near or after dark.
2) Venturing too far outside after dark, even on campus, is not guaranteed to be safe. You do so at your own risk.
3) There will be occasional evening events. Participation in these events should be considered of minor risk; however, anyone taking part should endeavor to follow all directions to ensure his or her safety.

*walks down the hall for a bit, then puts her down again*

It feels weird to be walking in a school holding you...but I can hold you for much longer upstairs.

*walks closely next to her, looking around as they walk*

*they end up at the stairs and he turns to her, smiling*

Stairs! Where was it now? To the left?

Great. I wonder what kind of food they have in there...

*walks down the corridor, looking at her and rubbing her arm*

Hey...you seem a lot less excited about this now. Are you...not hungry anymore?

*looks around the corridor, looking behind them*

Well if we see them, we can hide. Or I can pretend to be sick? Or we can run.

*smiles at her, nudging her a little*

Such a brave princess. You're going to be the one saving me.

*sighs happily as he looks around the large, state-of-the-art kitchen*

Oh, this is wonderful. I don't- I don't know where to start looking.

*groans low in his chest, resting his hands on either side of her, leaning in close*

Anything you like, m'lady. A lowly knight such as myself surely is not worthy of a beautiful princess such as yourself. I would do anything to gain that honor.

*moans, moving his head to press a firm kiss to her lips*

It would be my honor. I only hope I can live up to your expectation.

*smiles as he kisses her quickly again, before turning to go to the large refrigerator*

*gapes at all the food in there, turning back to her, smiling happily*

Look at all food! Fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, even a whole chicken. Lets see if I can find some ham and cheese.

*laughs as he leans down to look through the lower shelves*

Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm sure you wouldn't object to me making more food later.

*he finds sliced ham, turkey and cheddar cheese, taking it all out and setting it down on the counter next to her*

I think I want turkey and ham sandwich. Hmm...now to find the bread...

*turns back and looks at the boxes in the cupboard, smiling and nodding*

It does! Wow, a whole cupboard of juice just for you.

*goes to the pantry and finds a loaf of white, pre-sliced bread and he wrinkles his nose*

They only have store bought bread, it looks like. This will have to do, I suppose.

*turns on the burner and looks under the stove for a small pan*

*finds a pan and sets it on the burner, going back to the fridge to get some butter*

Yeah, but it's not as good as the home-made stuff. People just don't know how good home-made bread is.

*brings everything over next to the stove, looking through some drawers to find the utensils*

I wonder if the princess would be so kind as to get some tomatoes and lettuce out, so she can slice them to her liking.

My princess wanted a toasted sandwich. This is just an easy way to so it.

*gets out the cheese and meat, placing the sandwich in the pan*
