European Train Ride Week

Lets see if I can get it right this time.

Sorry this is so late. Ended up in the hospital this afternoon. This will be a low key week because I don't have it in me for a lot of activities at the moment.



Welcome to The Ebbsfleet International Railway Station located to the east of London. From here, you will be catching the Eurostar train to Paris. Make sure you have your Eurail train pass handy. This is the pass that will allow you to travel throughout europe. If you lose this, you may have to buy a new ticket or remain where you are while the rest of us go on.


Feel free to have a look around the station. The train will be here shortly. As soon as it arrives, you can find your seat and then wander around and get to know your fellow travelers.

Day 2: Welcome to Paris. Feel free to wander around and enjoy the sites.

Day 3: Welcome to Amsterdam. There are sites to see for everyone. Check out the canals. Eat in one of the many fine restaurants. Or if you are into more risqué fun, check out the Red Light District. Here.

We'll be heading for Berlin in the morning.

Day 5:
Today we've arrived in Venice. Venice is really a collection of small islands connected by canals. Venice is the perfect city for couples. If you want to stay around, you can catch the Venice Carnival that begins the end of January. For now, you can take a romantic or relaxing Gondola ride. You can take a tour of the city by boat. You can crash in one of the many luxury hotels. There are museums, amazing architecture, or opera houses. If nightlife is your thing, there are jazz clubs, coffee houses, and pubs to enjoy.

Day 7: And our trip this week ends in Budapest. Stay as long as you like and enjoy your trip home.

Ashley doesn't wake when Derek does, but something in his brain registers the soft sound that Derek makes. He turns in his sleep, curling tighter against Derek's chest, one arm slipping around his waist.

Derek smiles down at Ashley when he comes closer. He untangles one of his hands to run it through Ashley's hair. He's torn between getting up and going back to sleep, but his rumbling stomach makes the decision for him. He hates to wake Ashley, but he honestly has no idea where he's at or where any food would be. "Ashley," he tries to wake him quietly.

Ashley lets out a soft whimper at the feel of Derek's fingers in his hair. He starts to wake, but unless he's on the clock and waking to an alarm, it takes him a while. "Ash," he mutters sleepily. "My friends call me."

Derek starts at the implication that he's now one of Ashley's friends. "Well, Ash," he rolls the name around on his tongue, "I'm hungry. And you're my tour guide."

Ashley groans, finally opening his eyes and blinking grey eyes up at Derek. "Room service?" he pouts.

Derek almost starts to lose himself in Ashley's eyes before catching himself. "Got a menu around here somewhere?"

"Probably by the room phone," Ashley yawns, nuzzling at Derek's collarbone.

"Have to detach yourself from me first," Derek says, even though he wishes Ashley didn't have to because he's comfortable.

Ashley sighs, still too sleepy to be careful about how he's acting. "Yeah. Yeah, okay," he nods, reluctantly unwrapping his arms from around Derek.

Derek immediately misses Ashley's warmth, but focuses on his empty stomach instead. He rolls over and looks by the phone, grabbing a menu. He sits up in bed and rubs his eyes, trying to focus on the menu.

"Okay, I know it's too early or me to be mouthing off, but... your combination bedhead and just-fucked hair is one of the hottest and simultaneously most adorable things I've ever seen in the morning," Ashley grins as he rolls onto his back and stretches.

Derek lets out a surprised laugh. "Don't think I've ever been called adorable before either." He stares appreciatively at Ashley when he stretches.

Ashley arches his back off the bed as he gets a good, long stretch, then collapses back against the mattress. "Pretty sure I'm a whole string of first for ye, mate."

"You really are," Derek's surprised at the honesty in his voice. He shakes his head and tries to focus on the menu. "Oh god waffles and bacon and sausage and scrambled eggs and orange juice and coffee. That's what I want."

Ashley blinks his own surprise at Derek's tone, then laughs. "So, you're just going to eat everything, on the whole entire menu."

Derek laughs. "Yep. Want me to order two of everything so you can have some too?"

"How about just the waffles, and I'll pick at the rest of your food," he grins, sitting up and turning to put his feet on the floor.

"You say that like I'm actually going to share," Derek teases.

Ashley pouts, but it's hard because he's trying not to giggle. "After the blow job I gave you last night, I at least earned some of your eggs."

"Fine. You can have some eggs. But not my sausage." Derek winks.

"Wanna bet?" Ashley grins as he pads toward the bathroom on bare feet.

Derek rolls his eyes and rolls over to call in their breakfast. He calls over his shoulder to Ashley, "Do you have anything I can wear? Sweats or something? Don't want to greet room service completely naked." He laughs.

"Uh, yeah. Duffel bag at the foot of the bed... should be some sweats or yoga pants or something. T-shirts too... help yourself." Ashley left the bathroom door open as he turned the water on.

"Thanks." Derek orders their food and sits on the bed for a minute, considering. He would really like to be able to take a shower before he put on clean clothes, but he knows if he gets in the shower with Ashley now, they would miss breakfast. He sighs and gets out of bed to dig through Ashley's duffel bag. He slips on a pair grey sweats that seem like they'd be a bit big on Ashley, but fit Derek pretty well.

Ashley keeps his shower fast, and a few minutes later he's back, hair damp and a towel hanging low off his hips. "Good thing I have those with me. Have to tie them tight to keep 'em on... but there's no way any of my jeans would fit you."
