Once Upon A Time / Storybrooke Week

Hello everybody I am Emma Swan-St. John and I am the Deputy Mayor of Storybrooke. Regina Mills used to run the place but....we drove her out when she started dating this weird guy called "The Master". How they are out there running around without the curse affecting them....I don't even know.....ANYWAY My dad David Nolan, yeah I know he looks my age long story there, runs the place with his new girlfriend but he assigned my wonderful Husband Mick and I to help with guests and newcomers from "The Land Without Magic".

On behalf of our family we welcome you to Storybrooke.

Now before you enter you must know the story about this place. Orginally this place was the enchanted forest. When my son Henry came up to me with this story (if you would like to know the full tale he's the little expert so if you have any questions he will gladly let you read the book) I didn't believe it myself but the main point of this story is we are all a bunch of characters.....no really we are ALL a bunch of characters brought here by a curse set by the evil Queen. But part of the curse was recently broken while the characters remember who they are, they are not COMPLETELY back so please don't be alarmed if there are some magical things going on.

With that said we hope you enjoy your stay. We have plenty of fun events

The Mayors Mansion - Mick and I are happy to accomidate visitors since we have many guest rooms open if you don't feel like staying at Granny's, just please don't make a mess.

RP wise it is a free for all week. You can do whatever you want whether it be dirty....clean...fluffy or angst ridden.....but there will be some cool interactive features you have the option of doing:

Events- Ill be posting an event thread once every two-three days, this is optional for those who are in the midsts of intense threads, but it's mainly group threads and social gatherings in the town its there so characters can socialize and have fun with their buddies and stuff.

Question/challenge of the Day Every day I will be posting a new thread for the "question and/or challenge of the day" pretaining to the theme of this week. Keep your eyes peeled for the questions you don't want to miss this, especially because I cant wait for the interesting. At the end of the week there will be voting and people will be rewarded in a shotout post.

Day 1
QUESTION OF THE DAY If you were a citizen in Storybrooke and you had a fairytale counter part who would it be and why? For Storybrooke Citizens...do you like your fairy tale counterpart, if not if you can chose a new one who would it be and why?
EVENT Welcome Party at the Mayors house- Prince David, Deputy Mayor Emma St. John and their family coordually invite you to the mayors house to welcome in all their guests joining them this week. There will be food provided by Granny's Dinner and it will be a night of relaxation and dancing!

Day 2
CHALLENGE OF THE DAY Make up a fairy tale involving your character. For those who don't feel like writing epic novel length.....you can do it within one sentence

Day 3
CHALLENGE OF THE DAY Put your character in a fairytale attire. You can use either Polyvore, a picture or a Dollmaker for this one chose wisely there will be a poll at the end of the end of the week on who dressed the best!
EVENT In the style of a Reinassance Faire, the citizens of Storybrooke will be turning their town into an automsphere simulating life before the curse was inflicted on the town. There will be food, music, entertainment dancing and even a marketplace where people can buy trinkets for themselves or their loved ones. People who attend this event are REQUIRED to dress in coustume....it makes it fun.

DAY 5
CHALLENGE OF THE DAY Dress your character for the ball using either Polyvore, a dollmaker or using a picture, chose wisely there will be a poll at the end of the end of the week on who dressed the best!
EVENT Storybrooke annual ball, come dressed up as a prince or princess.

I have not. *amused:* I find it is arguably a better option to relinquish my reserve weaponry before walking down Main Street. I suspect it is not atypical of its kind, however?

Removal of weaponry is likely a good idea. Not that you aren't still carrying and that you couldn't kill someone without a weapon. *grins* Although I talked to a couple of people earlier, and there may be more to this town than I had originally thought. Some of the rumors seem like they could be true. In which case, weaponry, perhaps, might not be so amiss.

I have yet to see anything out of the ordinary myself, however. Right now it still seems fairly typical of a small town. As thrilling as that is.

It was originally just supposed to be a simple locate and recover operation. For an artifact that is reportedly here somewhere. However, what I have heard intrigues me, so I may need to investigate further. There could be potential here. It still should not be that taxing. Or take that much time. Not that there is all that much else for us to do here. *tries to hold back a grin, but doesn't quite succeed* Unless you cared to go to the costume event in the town tonight? I'm sure we could find appropriate outfits.

I have with me some work I brought in case you would need such time. Whatever it is you need.

I may. It is difficult to determine what time I will need when I am not entirely sure what is going on. And you are welcome to join me, if you care to do so. I don't anticipate anything exceptionally out of the ordinary or dangerous. If you wish to keep yourself occupied with work on your own, I'm fine with that as well. *wry grin* I think a more pressing concern is what we are going to do about food around here.

Long enough. It felt like it lasted longer than it really did. It is actually where I met the Winchesters. I stole something from them while acting as their waitress at the diner.

Actually, yes. Considering I find it is rather more difficult to fulfill such fantasies when one has little idea what they are.

I actually haven't done much in the way of roleplay. One night stands are not generally conducive to it. I was more surprised that you had not then indicating that I had partaken in it a great deal.

There is a reason that Mills & Boon has pirate stories. There is something about them that is appealing. Perhaps it is the element of dashing danger. Which, you have to admit, does suit you well. *grins*

I cannot claim to know much of the subject, but I also seem to recall a certain level of brutality in their character.

But as for my own interests... *pause, then:* I previously dated someone in my line of work. When disguises were required, it was not altogether atypical for them to follow us to bed. As such I have engaged in a variety of scenarios previously, and my interests are rather openminded.

Yes, of course I recall. Although, I did not entirely focus on the timing aspect of it. This is a remarkably similar situation to that one. Apparently December is not our month for exciting locales?

*runs her hands up your front under your shirt and lightly trails her nails back down*

I suppose we shall have to make do as best we can with the limited options we have available.

And, yes, I'm sure my reasons were perfectly valid at the time. As I do tend to be rather rational. I am just having difficulty remembering what they were.

Considering what it is we did to occupy our time, I would certainly hope it was not unmemorable. But yes, I completed my job that month on the eleventh of December, and the day after was when I met with you. So I believe it has been almost exactly a year now. It does have a certain amount of symmetry, does it not?

*emits a light sigh at her nails on his skin*

Oh, you mean the carnival games and the shooting range? Yes, they were very memorable. *grins*

*pauses, thinking about why you would want to stay with her for a year, her grin faltering slightly and her tone becoming less amused/more serious*

A year... *trails off* If someone had asked me any time in the past ten years if I would have ever envisioned myself in any kind of relationship for a year, I would never have believed them. I don't even think I would have believed it when we started this, back at the carnival. *wry grin* Then again, at that point I also thought I would be dead by now, so it's probably not a fair assessment point.

I did not bring you an anniversary present or anything, but I suppose I could tie a bow in my hair for you to unwrap or something such as that if you so desire.
