boston week: part one!

Welcome to Boston, Massachusetts! We hope you've found your accommodations to your liking. It's Christmas week, so the streets are bustling along nicely, the trees are up, and decorations line Faneuil Hall. No snow just yet, but we hope you like the 30°F weather! (Might want to bundle up.)

Even around this time of year, there's much to be done in the city -- take a gander at some of the potential attractions on your brochure and get out there to go enjoy the sights!

((Host note: I'm starting the week off easy with a general RP, but come Wednesday, expect a new post with -- gasp -- tasks! Unfortunately, I just won't be a stable enough presence to maintain what I have planned until then. So for now, get settled in and have fun!

Feel free to go all around the city -- I've outlined/summarized some key areas to hit up in the list up there. If you're stumped on somewhere to go, hit up the mod thread and I'll make sure to point you in the right direction!))

*she's running a little behind and she's sure Kurt's already there. She's sure he's already been there for a little while, because he would have checked in and gotten things set up*

*Prada scampers next to her, seemingly excited to be somewhere new, encountering new smells and new people*

*she gets a key for the room from the front desk*

Come on Prada. *she coos to the puppy* Let's go get settled in and say hi to Kurt.

*they ride the elevator up and she picks Prada up, carrying her to the room, having left her things downstairs for the bellhop, quite a few bags, and all of Prada's accouterments*

*she uses the key to open the door*

Knock, knock.

*said as she pushes it open, taking in the room, and the flowers that she knows are meant for her from him*

*she grins widely*

It's beautiful. They're beautiful.

Look at the flowers he got for us, Prada. *she says gently to the dog, before setting her down to move to Kurt*

Hey. *she greets softly when she reaches him, wrapping her arms around his neck, leaning in to give him a quick kiss*

I can't wait until we have a place here. And we don't have to say good bye all the time. *even if logically she knew she'd be away some when she went to Harvard, but she'd at least be closer and she'd know she had their home to go back to, rather than his room at the mansion, that she wasn't even really sure she should be at a lot because she wasn't special, wasn't a mutant*

*wraps his arms around her and cradles her against his chest, letting out a sigh of contentment*

I miss you so much. Every time.

Soon we won't have to miss each other quite so much. *she smiles, leaning in, placing a light, quick kiss on his neck*

*as she talks, Prada comes over and starts sniffing at Kurt's feet*

*lets go of her reluctantly and crouches down slowly, so as not to startle the pup*

And finally, the beautiful boy you always talk about... guten morgen, Prada. I am pleased to finally meet you.

*holds a hand out, but doesn't move other than that*

*when he reaches out a hand, Prada jumps back slightly, moving forward with caution, sniffing his hand before giving off a bark of warning, feeling unsure about things, because she can tell he's different*

Prada *Lydia chastises the puppy at which point, Prada gives him another sniff before simply turning her back on both of them and walking away to Lydia's slight giggling*
