She's my little genius. Going to be the first person to get 12 OWLs since Bill and Perce did it.

I think she just needs to get to know you better. And know that you're sticking around. I think she's half expecting me to come back to England with my tail between my legs because I don't always think things through before doing them.

OWLs? I'm assuming you don't mean messages delivered by owls here?

Yeah, probably, but it's still important to me. For us to get along. For you to not feel like you have to pick sides when the two of us are together. Because I'd like to keep you around for a while.

Ordinary Wizarding Levels. Tests take at the end of 5th year - there's 12 tests and Bill and Percy not only took all 12, but got the highest possible marks on all of them. Next to them, the rest of us look like slackers.

I'm not letting you go, so if Mum can't learn to like you, she'll just have to deal. I know she will though.

Pretty much, yeah. You pretty much need an Outstanding or Exceeds Expectations to continue in a class, except for Potions where you have to get an Outstanding.

NEWTs - Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests - are taken at the end of 7th year and determine which careers you're even eligible for.

Like my job as a dragon handler - I couldn't have gotten it without an Outstanding on my Care of Magical Creatures NEWT.

I also got outstandings in Potions and Herbology. And then Exceeds Expectations in Charms, Transfiguration, and Muggle Studies and Acceptable in Astronomy.

Maybe someday, but I'm in no rush right now.
