I have a friend who's a werewolf.

My partner, he's a werewolf. He was bitten as a child and I worry about him because the transformations keep getting more difficult for him, which he tries to hide from me.

My cousin's son got tangled up in the wrong side of a war and trying to turn his life around. It's been making me think of my brother - he got tangled up in the wrong side of the previous war, but he died before he could try to make things right.
