The hitch-hiking had helped, as had the cage fight at he rural bar. 'Wolverine' thankfully wasn't known in this part of the world, but he didn't push his luck like last time. The cash felt good in his pocket and he continues Northwards. He even managed to somehow locate the bike that he had been riding - part of him put it down to chance, but after the hospital, he wonders if fate wasn't helping out here and there.
The clothes were burned in a hobo's fire can, the bum had welcomed the extra warmth and hadn't questioned the blood on the jacket - wash it in the snow and good as new. As for the cuts, well... stitch it over and keep going.
He reaches the lake and finds... nothing. Just an abandoned building that had nothing to remind him of anything. Nothing remained...
He turned and got back on the motorbike and starts heading back southwards once more. Perhaps a holiday somewhere else, somewhere to relax...
A few days pass on the road, and off it. Professor Xavier had called him to the mansion to help deal with a very troubling matter... and while he had started to remember what had happened... the price had been high. He had hit the road again, the deep guilt at what had happened at the lake, Jean's death, eating up inside him. But Stryker had at least paid for what he had done, or at least in part. There was something about the man that bothered Logan deeply and there were still large gaps in his memory. But he wouldn't put it past the man to have been dealing with multiple projects, all independent yet connected as the man saw fit. At least Professor Xavier had given him a ticket for a cruise, as well as a passport under his - Logan's name. He pulled the bike over and looked at the name once more, trying not to laugh.
Logan Wolfe.
He sets the bike in motion once more and heads for New York to try and catch the ship on time. Part of his mind idly wonders what luggage he will need. The money from the cage fights not fully exhausted, as well as some from professor Xavier however meant that some cash purchases would get him a change of clothes and some more cigars. The latter keeps the smile on his face as he continues south.
-Logan, still looking for answers, willing to take more time finding them now.
