A Week in Rural Scotland

Thank you for joining us here in picturesque Glen Macalie, on the shore of Loch Leven in the Grampian Mountains of Scotland. We welcome you to the campus of the Glen Macalie School for Girls and hope that you will enjoy your stay.


This week will largely be unstructured; you are welcome to investigate the castle (which dates back to 1237 CE) and the nearby village of Glen Macalie. Some resources which will be available to you include:

State of the art Training/Exercise Room
Extensively landscaped grounds and gardens
Horseback Riding

In the village:
Shopping
Pubs and restaurants
Museum
Historical buildings
Golf

We ask only that you take care to observe the following rules:

1) Please do not leave campus near or after dark.
2) Venturing too far outside after dark, even on campus, is not guaranteed to be safe. You do so at your own risk.
3) There will be occasional evening events. Participation in these events should be considered of minor risk; however, anyone taking part should endeavor to follow all directions to ensure his or her safety.

I can't even begin to tell you how bad things are right now. *turns to look at him for the first time* I literally am not allowed.

For everyone's safety, but then John made a pass at me and I couldn't not tell him, and Mycroft figured it out on his own, because of course he did.

You're a total stranger and none of this is going to make sense, so I'm going to say it and that way, I'll have said all of it to someone somewhere. Probably someone who'll think I'm insane and then I won't have to see you ever again.

I helped someone fake their own death. For really good reasons. Someone I've had a thing for for a very long time. And I was the only one who knew that he was still alive. So his roommate comes to me, drunk and depressed, and tells me he's in love with this guy... the one who everyone thinks is dead. But he also hits on me. And I haven't had sex in ages. Not since... a really horrible guy I dated for the amount of time it took for him to use me. But I'm not an asshole, so I told him the truth, because I couldn't have sex with him knowing that the love of his life was still alive. But he still wanted to have sex with me and now we're closer. I have feelings for him.

And then Sherlock's brother finds out. Fuck... I said his name. Sherlock fucking Holmes. He finds out that Sherlock is still alive. So now he knows. And now his boyfriend knows. And John knows. And I've told Sherlock that they know, and now he knows that John is in love with him too, except that he has a thing for this girl he barely knows even though I've been standing in front of him for years and...

He treated me like I mattered when he needed my help, but I don't matter. I don't.

The man I mentioned before... the one who used me. He was the world's only "consulting criminal." Sherlock's nemesis.

Yes. *nods* Sherlock said he'd have killed John and Greg... and Mrs. Hudson. It's why he trusted me. Because Jim... Moriarty never thought of me as Sherlock's friend, so he didn't have anyone watching me.

Reminds me of a serial killer we had to deal with once. She kidnapped one of my co-workers to get to my boss. The rest of us didn't know they were a couple until that night.

When Jim... *sigh* When I dated him, he'd been setting up this whole plan for months. He worked in my building and asked me out and... we dated for awhile. All for this one moment, this one introduction to Sherlock, and then he went cold.

*mumbles* The sex was always weird.
