European Train Ride Week
Jan. 13th, 2013 09:57 pmLets see if I can get it right this time.
Sorry this is so late. Ended up in the hospital this afternoon. This will be a low key week because I don't have it in me for a lot of activities at the moment.

Welcome to The Ebbsfleet International Railway Station located to the east of London. From here, you will be catching the Eurostar train to Paris. Make sure you have your Eurail train pass handy. This is the pass that will allow you to travel throughout europe. If you lose this, you may have to buy a new ticket or remain where you are while the rest of us go on.
Feel free to have a look around the station. The train will be here shortly. As soon as it arrives, you can find your seat and then wander around and get to know your fellow travelers.
Day 2: Welcome to Paris. Feel free to wander around and enjoy the sites.
Check out these attractions: Attractions
If you just want to find a hotel, here are recommendations: Hotels
Day 3: Welcome to Amsterdam. There are sites to see for everyone. Check out the canals. Eat in one of the many fine restaurants. Or if you are into more risqué fun, check out the Red Light District. Here.
We'll be heading for Berlin in the morning.
Day 5:
Today we've arrived in Venice. Venice is really a collection of small islands connected by canals. Venice is the perfect city for couples. If you want to stay around, you can catch the Venice Carnival that begins the end of January. For now, you can take a romantic or relaxing Gondola ride. You can take a tour of the city by boat. You can crash in one of the many luxury hotels. There are museums, amazing architecture, or opera houses. If nightlife is your thing, there are jazz clubs, coffee houses, and pubs to enjoy.

Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-16 10:58 pm (UTC)Sorry, miss. Don't see anyone fitting that description. But maybe you'd let me keep you company for now?
*pulls the chair out*

Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-16 11:06 pm (UTC)You made a great choice. This is exactly the mental picture I had, a riverside cafe.

Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-16 11:43 pm (UTC)Better than okay.
*lets go of her hands for long enough to slide his canvas satchel off his shoulder and set it beside his chair, then takes her hands again*
I think I've got the best view, and i really don't mean the river.

Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-17 12:06 am (UTC)*bends to pull the book out of his bag, sliding it across the table to her*
It's nothing special. Some things I've copied in galleries, some city scenes, a lot of my teammates.
*has forgotten about a rough sketch of Beth in the outfit she wore the day they went to the museum*

Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-17 12:32 am (UTC)I... forgot that was in there.
*looks back and forth between the book and her face*
It could be better. Had to draw it from memory. After I got back to the hotel that night... I just couldn't stop thinking about you, and how beautiful you are.

Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-17 12:53 am (UTC)And thank you. I'm really glad you like my drawings.

Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-17 01:03 am (UTC)I'm glad that you don't mind. I love drawing things that catch my eye... and nothing's caught my eye like you have.
*flips the book open to a fresh page, pencil already starting to move over the paper*
Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-17 01:11 am (UTC)Just keep talking to me. Maybe tell me a little bit about why you're so interested in coffee, or something.
*props the book at an angle against the edge of the table as he draws, looking at her intently over top of it*
-Steve
Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-17 01:18 am (UTC)*looks up at her, smiling brightly*

Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-17 01:26 am (UTC)JARVIS tries, but his coffee's never as good as yours. Besides, you really think even a bad cup of coffee'd keep me from coming in to see my gal? Not likely.
*speaks casually, easily, still focused on his drawing*
-Steve
Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-17 01:35 am (UTC)*finally looks up again, smiling almost shyly*
Well, I sure hope so, at least. If you'll be my gal, I'll always sit in your section.
-Steve
Re: At a cafe in Paris
Date: 2013-01-17 01:47 am (UTC)Well, I did assume you'd want to visit me at my place sometime, and since I'm moving in to the Tower... yeah?
*finally sets down his pencil and reaches for his coffee*
-Steve
