European Train Ride Week

Lets see if I can get it right this time.

Sorry this is so late. Ended up in the hospital this afternoon. This will be a low key week because I don't have it in me for a lot of activities at the moment.



Welcome to The Ebbsfleet International Railway Station located to the east of London. From here, you will be catching the Eurostar train to Paris. Make sure you have your Eurail train pass handy. This is the pass that will allow you to travel throughout europe. If you lose this, you may have to buy a new ticket or remain where you are while the rest of us go on.


Feel free to have a look around the station. The train will be here shortly. As soon as it arrives, you can find your seat and then wander around and get to know your fellow travelers.

Day 2: Welcome to Paris. Feel free to wander around and enjoy the sites.

Day 3: Welcome to Amsterdam. There are sites to see for everyone. Check out the canals. Eat in one of the many fine restaurants. Or if you are into more risqué fun, check out the Red Light District. Here.

We'll be heading for Berlin in the morning.

Day 5:
Today we've arrived in Venice. Venice is really a collection of small islands connected by canals. Venice is the perfect city for couples. If you want to stay around, you can catch the Venice Carnival that begins the end of January. For now, you can take a romantic or relaxing Gondola ride. You can take a tour of the city by boat. You can crash in one of the many luxury hotels. There are museums, amazing architecture, or opera houses. If nightlife is your thing, there are jazz clubs, coffee houses, and pubs to enjoy.

Day 7: And our trip this week ends in Budapest. Stay as long as you like and enjoy your trip home.

Here's something that I bet isn't in any of your books... I was studying Fine Arts before I finally got picked by the army. It was really what I was good at... what I loved.

I don't usually tell people like that. No one sees it as part of the Captain America image. But... I know I can tell you anything. Anyway, that is why if you're looking for me, it's always a safe bet to try an art museum.

Not at all. Besides, even the artists I love... they know so much more about them now. Discovered new journals and paintings and sketches, while I was busy being a "Capsicle", as Tony not-so-delicately puts it.

And I loved the exhibition that you took me to. That was such a learning experience... I missed the eighties, art and all.

Don't be too hard on Tony. It's affectionate, for the most part... I think I'm sort of starting to understand where he's coming from.

I was thinking of staying in Amsterdam an extra day, and then maybe coming back to Paris. Something like that. And I know this is terribly forward, but i was hoping that, just maybe... You'd like to join me?

I'm off the clock after my first hour or so in Paris. And maybe you'd like to come, anyhow. My job is to look conspicuous. And Captain America kissing a pretty girl must be pretty conspicuous, right?

*smiles softly* I never want you to feel like I think you can't take care of yourself. Or like I'm trying to give you a handout. I really respect that you want to do things on your own.

That being said, there are going to be times that I'll want to treat you to dinner, or something... not because I think you need me to, but because it's nice, and it makes me happy to be able to do nice things for my friends sometimes. I hope that's okay?

Meeting later sounds more fun, actually. And it will give me a chance to add you to my travel arrangements... I figure, Uncle Sam kinda owes me some fun and good company after all those years frozen, right?
