European Train Ride Week

Lets see if I can get it right this time.

Sorry this is so late. Ended up in the hospital this afternoon. This will be a low key week because I don't have it in me for a lot of activities at the moment.



Welcome to The Ebbsfleet International Railway Station located to the east of London. From here, you will be catching the Eurostar train to Paris. Make sure you have your Eurail train pass handy. This is the pass that will allow you to travel throughout europe. If you lose this, you may have to buy a new ticket or remain where you are while the rest of us go on.


Feel free to have a look around the station. The train will be here shortly. As soon as it arrives, you can find your seat and then wander around and get to know your fellow travelers.

Day 2: Welcome to Paris. Feel free to wander around and enjoy the sites.

Day 3: Welcome to Amsterdam. There are sites to see for everyone. Check out the canals. Eat in one of the many fine restaurants. Or if you are into more risqué fun, check out the Red Light District. Here.

We'll be heading for Berlin in the morning.

Day 5:
Today we've arrived in Venice. Venice is really a collection of small islands connected by canals. Venice is the perfect city for couples. If you want to stay around, you can catch the Venice Carnival that begins the end of January. For now, you can take a romantic or relaxing Gondola ride. You can take a tour of the city by boat. You can crash in one of the many luxury hotels. There are museums, amazing architecture, or opera houses. If nightlife is your thing, there are jazz clubs, coffee houses, and pubs to enjoy.

Day 7: And our trip this week ends in Budapest. Stay as long as you like and enjoy your trip home.

*gestures with his head* That's Shoshanna. Warning: She's a little intense, and not always in a good way. If I have to hear one more thing about how she, like, doesn't need Ray because she's, like, an independent woman and the world is so much more amaze without him, I'm going to vomit.

I think I'd be more excited to be taking this trip with her if I'd known she was coming. Her ticket was for my roommate, and then I get to the airport and surprise, it's Shoshanna instead. *glances over at her again just to see if she's listening to him at all*

Paris! Yes... very excited. Never been. You?

My roommate. It was supposed to be my roommate. My college girlfriend, Hannah. She and Shosh are close, and I know Shosh because... college. *sighs*

That's great... winning the ticket? Love it. Mine were a gift from ages ago, and it seemed like a good time to get out of Brooklyn for a few days.

And I'm not a native either. I moved there after college. So where's your diner?

Oberlin. It's in Ohio. I was at the Conservatory of Music. And then I moved to New York to try to get acting jobs.

Nice location. *leans back in his seat* Superheroes are hot.

*shakes his head* Not instruments, really, though I can play piano. I majored in Vocal Performance.

Oh, anything really. But my voice isn't really suited to rock. Pop, musicals, that sort of thing.

*glances over at Shoshanna, who is now off the phone and staring out the window*

*is silent for a moment, then finally says* I forgot to bring a book.

*digs through his shoulder bag and finds a book, handing it over and then turning his attention back to Beth*

So what do you do besides waitressing and him? *nods toward Steve*

*Shoshanna smiles and waves back, then looks at the book Elijah handed her, a trashy romance that she thinks she probably shouldn't be interested in, but can't help wanting to read*

Oh, girl, you've got to give me your number. I can get you in for free.

*glances over at Steve again* Is he not making his move or what? Because you're gorgeous. I don't get what the wait is.

What do you want to study in college?

*pulls out his phone and hands it to her* Go ahead and do that. And I can put my number in yours, if you'd like.

I totally get that. I was dating this guy awhile back... He didn't want to talk about anything to do with himself. It took ages to get him to say anything about his past at all. That's hard for people sometimes.

I bet you'd be great at owning your own restaurant. Would it be a diner or do you want to try some different kind of cuisine?

That's tough... It was a similar thing for my ex, actually. He'd dated a guy who'd passed away.

I like places like that. Good coffee, classy, but kind of laid back. Comfortable to sit in.
