European Train Ride Week
Jan. 13th, 2013 09:57 pmLets see if I can get it right this time.
Sorry this is so late. Ended up in the hospital this afternoon. This will be a low key week because I don't have it in me for a lot of activities at the moment.

Welcome to The Ebbsfleet International Railway Station located to the east of London. From here, you will be catching the Eurostar train to Paris. Make sure you have your Eurail train pass handy. This is the pass that will allow you to travel throughout europe. If you lose this, you may have to buy a new ticket or remain where you are while the rest of us go on.
Feel free to have a look around the station. The train will be here shortly. As soon as it arrives, you can find your seat and then wander around and get to know your fellow travelers.
Day 2: Welcome to Paris. Feel free to wander around and enjoy the sites.
Check out these attractions: Attractions
If you just want to find a hotel, here are recommendations: Hotels
Day 3: Welcome to Amsterdam. There are sites to see for everyone. Check out the canals. Eat in one of the many fine restaurants. Or if you are into more risqué fun, check out the Red Light District. Here.
We'll be heading for Berlin in the morning.
Day 5:
Today we've arrived in Venice. Venice is really a collection of small islands connected by canals. Venice is the perfect city for couples. If you want to stay around, you can catch the Venice Carnival that begins the end of January. For now, you can take a romantic or relaxing Gondola ride. You can take a tour of the city by boat. You can crash in one of the many luxury hotels. There are museums, amazing architecture, or opera houses. If nightlife is your thing, there are jazz clubs, coffee houses, and pubs to enjoy.

I wouldn't have expected to see you here, doing this. Improving your spycraft, are you?

Date: 2013-01-15 03:13 am (UTC)Now that I see who else they've sent, I'm starting to guess that I was meant as some sort of diversion. I mean, people know who I am. Not a lot over here, but still.

Date: 2013-01-15 03:29 am (UTC)*very dryly:* I don't know. I think you were being completely inconspicuous.
What exactly were you told about this?
~ Natasha

Date: 2013-01-15 04:19 am (UTC)*blushes a bit* It's okay, Natasha. I know that I haven't been inconspicuous since before you were born.
I haven't been told much. I know that I had to be on this train. That there would be someone here I'd recognize. That they'd get me further instructions somehow.

*moves to sit down next to you, to keep the conversation more private*
Your part of the mission is fairly straightforward. It relies on you being conspicuous. We are to go somewhere together and then you are to keep everyone's attention focused on you, while I take the opportunity to gather intel from a more secure location deeper in. The details, such as they are, are in here. *hands you a slim folder that she had been holding at her side*
~ Natasha
((I figured I'd let you have input as to where they were going. It pretty much could be anywhere in Paris. Or, if you want, I could edit and have it be somewhere on the train. I just figured as the post says they are going to Paris, that provided more of an opportunity. Perhaps I should have gone to chat to figure this stuff out with you. :P Oh, and I'm going to bed shortly. As I didn't end up sleeping much at all last night and my alarm again goes off in just over five hours.))

But I can do that.

((I think in Paris sounds good! Does she have to steal something, Mission Impossible style? :P))

It was tough. Especially when my dad died. Ma worked hard, two jobs and raising me the best she could. I wasn't a healthy kid, but at least I kept out of trouble, which made things easier for her.
