European Train Ride Week

Lets see if I can get it right this time.

Sorry this is so late. Ended up in the hospital this afternoon. This will be a low key week because I don't have it in me for a lot of activities at the moment.



Welcome to The Ebbsfleet International Railway Station located to the east of London. From here, you will be catching the Eurostar train to Paris. Make sure you have your Eurail train pass handy. This is the pass that will allow you to travel throughout europe. If you lose this, you may have to buy a new ticket or remain where you are while the rest of us go on.


Feel free to have a look around the station. The train will be here shortly. As soon as it arrives, you can find your seat and then wander around and get to know your fellow travelers.

Day 2: Welcome to Paris. Feel free to wander around and enjoy the sites.

Day 3: Welcome to Amsterdam. There are sites to see for everyone. Check out the canals. Eat in one of the many fine restaurants. Or if you are into more risqué fun, check out the Red Light District. Here.

We'll be heading for Berlin in the morning.

Day 5:
Today we've arrived in Venice. Venice is really a collection of small islands connected by canals. Venice is the perfect city for couples. If you want to stay around, you can catch the Venice Carnival that begins the end of January. For now, you can take a romantic or relaxing Gondola ride. You can take a tour of the city by boat. You can crash in one of the many luxury hotels. There are museums, amazing architecture, or opera houses. If nightlife is your thing, there are jazz clubs, coffee houses, and pubs to enjoy.

Day 7: And our trip this week ends in Budapest. Stay as long as you like and enjoy your trip home.

It doesn't matter. You'll be able to get anything you want, where we're going. And I fully intend to completely spoil you. I mean, that's the point of being a billionaire, right?

*gestures her up the stairs, where an honest-to-god suited butler is waiting to greet them and take their coats*

Paris sounds perfect, but no need to spend any money on a special Anya island just yet.

Maybe after Paris, you can come visit -my- island, see how you like it. Before you take that big jump into being queen of your own floating realm.

Nice little corner of the Bahamas. *grins* My parents bought it... My mother loved warmer climates. The one I bought myself is... A little less hospitable maybe, but I love it more, there's sort of a connection there. You might know the area, actually.

*looks thoughtful for a moment, then grins to deflect the seriousness*

What you really need to see is my winter place. Top of a mesa in the middle of the desert, only accessible by air. The construction company hated that.

Do I want to know how many homes you own? I've only ever had one at a time. *smiles* It's all I've needed.

Six. *grins almost sheepishly* New York, Arizona, San Francisco, the Bahamas, Scotland, and the traditional Worthington place.

It's nothing to do with need, I guess. I mean, WI has offices in New York and San Francisco, so that was sort of the reasoning there. But all in all, I guess I probably like spending money and having things more than I should. I mean, there's very little of it that i'm attached to, I never mind giving things away, but...

*kisses his cheek softly* I feel like... if I had that kind of money, I'd spend it partly because having it would make me uncomfortable. I'd rather get rid of it however I could.

But I keep making more! I just try to keep using it well. I mean, I spoil myself. But I also fund a school... For kids like me. To take classes and learn how to use their powers. Plus, I sort of... fund the X-Men, really, actually.

That's a valuable thing. I don't know many X-Men, but I've been getting to know the superheros I work with and... I have a lot of respect for them. And for you. And for the kids you are helping.

*murmurs* I just wish my work in the lab were more productive. It's nice of them to keep me around while I'm struggling.

If there's anything SI knows, it's that research takes time. There have been years where Hank -- the Beast, that is -- hasn't really turned out results. But he never stops. And he's made discoveries that have changed the world.

Right before I ended up here, I helped create a vaccine for the virus that wiped out my world. I'm trying to replicate it, but the only source I have for the virus is Al. He came through after me... He was the one we tested the vaccine on.

You'll do it again. And you should meet Hank. Tell Stark I suggested you talk to Hank McCoy. He's got access to tech that even Stark doesn't.
