Once Upon A Time / Storybrooke Week
Jan. 6th, 2013 06:12 pm
Hello everybody I am Emma Swan-St. John and I am the Deputy Mayor of Storybrooke. Regina Mills used to run the place but....we drove her out when she started dating this weird guy called "The Master". How they are out there running around without the curse affecting them....I don't even know.....ANYWAY My dad David Nolan, yeah I know he looks my age long story there, runs the place with his new girlfriend but he assigned my wonderful Husband Mick and I to help with guests and newcomers from "The Land Without Magic".
On behalf of our family we welcome you to Storybrooke.
Now before you enter you must know the story about this place. Orginally this place was the enchanted forest. When my son Henry came up to me with this story (if you would like to know the full tale he's the little expert so if you have any questions he will gladly let you read the book) I didn't believe it myself but the main point of this story is we are all a bunch of characters.....no really we are ALL a bunch of characters brought here by a curse set by the evil Queen. But part of the curse was recently broken while the characters remember who they are, they are not COMPLETELY back so please don't be alarmed if there are some magical things going on.
With that said we hope you enjoy your stay. We have plenty of fun events
The Mayors Mansion - Mick and I are happy to accomidate visitors since we have many guest rooms open if you don't feel like staying at Granny's, just please don't make a mess.
Granny's Bed and Breakfast.
Some Cool places to See:
Granny's Dinner
The Wishing Well
Storybrooke Docks (That and the Wishing Well are pretty Romantic Places FYI)
Toll Bridge
Mr. Gold's Shop -whispers- avoid making deals with the Owner

*retrieves her phone*
*shows you this image*
This is an Aztec bloodstone. I wouldn't recommend bleeding anywhere near it, or, actually, even touching it with your bare hands. It has some nasty properties.
((what it does, if you are curious.))

Alright. I have gloves, if you believe I should use them.

Are you ready? Or do you need some more time?

No, thank you. I'm ready.
*moves to the door, then opens it for her*
Do you know where we are going?

I do. The rumors I have heard are that someone named Mr. Gold has the artifact. He owns a shop here in town; when I scouted the town briefly earlier, I located it. It's not far.

Lead the way.
*follows her down the stairs, looking over the place in a bit more detail this time, not terribly fondly*

*puts on a fake tour guide voice and gestures to one side of the street*
On this side of the lovely Main street, you will see... not much of interest.
*gestures to the other side*
Same with this side of the lovely Main street.
At some point, we will come across a diner. And if we went far enough, eventually some docks, for at least a little variety.
*laughs*
I think there might even be less to do in this town than at the carnival town. And that is saying something.
*glances around*
At least it is rather pretty? In a quaint small town kind of way?

Date: 2013-02-06 05:28 am (UTC)I'm not certain how it is one would come to choose to stay here for a night, let alone voluntarily live under such circumstances.
*half a nod, then, clearly without full-fledged agreement:*
I suppose that is a positive.

Date: 2013-02-09 03:01 am (UTC)You have chosen to stay here for a night, haven't you? I'm sure everyone has some motivation or another.
*pauses*
But, yes, I cannot imagine living in such a place as this. I need the activity of a big city. I would go stir crazy living here.
*grins again*
Don't get too excited. The locals might mistake you for an overly enthusiastic tourist.
*stops walking and kisses you, running her fingers down your chest*
*breaks apart and says in a sultry voice:*
I promise I will make spending the night here with me worth your while.

Date: 2013-02-11 07:48 am (UTC)I somehow didn't think I would hear a lot of objection from you in the matter. Besides, we have a lot of lost time to make up, don't you think?

Date: 2013-02-11 08:33 am (UTC)I would tend to agree with you. And once we have found what you are looking for, we shall have plenty of time to do so.
*gives her one more brief kiss, then starts them walking again*

*laughs*
I suppose that is a not-so-subtle hint that we should be quick about finding the object in question? Usually I prefer some complexity in my assignments. This time, I think I will be fine if it is really just that simple as buying it from a shop.

Date: 2013-02-12 06:03 am (UTC)As you mentioned, we do have rather a lot of time to make up for. I will not protest if your job progresses accordingly.
