Hello everyone. I'm Dr. David Sawyer and this is my fiance, Bryan Collins, who would probably kill me if I didn't mention his television show, "Sing," which you should all definitely watch. It airs... sometime. On a channel. I should know those things.



Contrary to what the picture above suggests, we live in sunny Los Angeles, and you are ALL invited to our house for a Holiday party! Bryan has everything set up - the food is catered, the drinks are free, and everyone is welcome.

There are just a few house rules.

1. Be careful of the turkeys in the backyard. They do bite.

2. This is the bed I share with my fiance:



Please DO NOT have sex in or on or NEAR it. There's a guest house with multiple guest rooms for that.

And that's all there is to it. If you have any questions, Shania or I will be happy to answer them. If you're interested in seeing more of Los Angeles and less of our party (or if you're one of those people who isn't comfortable going to a party being hosted by strangers), there will be a thread for Shania to give you touristy advice.

This party will run for the entire span of the week, though it's all really in one night. We might post some activities day to day for people who enjoy a bit of direction, but this is mostly a place for everyone to come together and mingle. Get to know people you've never met, enjoy your friends and family. Eat, drink, and be merry... and please don't trash my house!

*nods* It will be a bit cold. I've found East Coast beaches, at least in the south, to be a lot warmer.

I'm from Ohio. We don't have any beaches there. But my family and I went to Myrtle Beach once. It was really warm. I liked it.

If you'll still be around in the morning, I'd love to take you. To the beach, I mean. My fiance is an excellent surfer and I... like to watch. *laughs*

Oooh, Hawaii! I've always wanted to go to Hawaii. I never understood how people surf...or skateboard or snowboard. It looks so hard. Has he made you try to surf?

Danny is far more athletic, though I did do some sport when I was young.

He told me about the island... It sounded absolutely terrifying. *frowns for a moment, then smiles again* But you're here and obviously safe.

We got engaged in Cambridge recently. It wasn't the most romantic proposal, but I've never been happier.

Um... I bought these rings and planned a trip to Paris, but we had to stop off in Cambridge first, to see my parents and to deal with some things I had been ignoring back home. We went to dinner with my parents and... they like Danny, but it didn't go well at all. I won't explain more than that, but it was just awful.

I was feeling so anxious after, so scared of losing him or... of losing everything, really. So I proposed in the back of the cab on the way back to the hotel.

I'd been keeping the rings in my pocket. I was so worried I'd lose them otherwise. But it was otherwise spontaneous. I said something rambling and completely ridiculous and he was very surprised.

And of course, he said yes.

Only a few months, and he's still in school, so we won't be getting married for awhile. I think we both just knew that it was right. Immediately, almost.

We knew we'd always be together.
