The empire in question is Empire Records, the greatest emporium of sounds the world has ever known.

A music store. You work there? That sounds like it'd be a fun job. I bet all kinds of new music has come out in the last year, hasn't it? I'd love to hear...anything...if you have it.

I do work there. Live there, practically. The music is in me, and I'm in the music, or something like that.

There's always new music, although most of my favourites are old. We've got these cool listening booths that you can take the discs into to listen to them, if you want to check those out.

I love anything New Wave. The sounds of the future, straight from the past... there's something either very profound or very bizarre about the concept.
