*nods, her lips slightly upturned, deciding that she likes how he doesn't expect a lot*
I do have a pretty face. *laughs, then focuses on the story*
I guess it starts, when I got my father sent to prison, when I was young. If I hadn't done that, I might not have been living in that god forsaken place. My mother fell down the stairs, and I blamed it on him, him trying to kill her.
When the police finally got it right, they sent me away to Coates Academy. A place children go to be forgotten.
Then one day, everyone over fifteen disappears. And a wall surrounds us. Like an invisible barrier. And everything inside is changing, mutating. Some people have powers. Animals can do things they couldn't do before. Everything is about surviving. But we're just kids. We are illequipped. We don't know how to form a society that functions, how to hunt, how to farm.
We're starving and killing each other, eating our friends when they die.
I stick with this one guy, Caine. He has unimaginable powers. But delusions of grandeur. He thinks he can be king. I know he shouldn't be. So, I let him have what he's always wanted. Not that after long, he'd give me much choice about it.
But turns out, when the chips are down, when he has to choose. He just wants to be king.

Fair enough. I'll go first. I'm not sure that I'm a good guy, in my story. You okay with that?

Sounds like you could use a drink more than I could, sweetheart.
You and me, sad to say we aren't so different.

Date: 2012-08-23 07:01 pm (UTC)You see Orc drunk once. It kinda puts you off the stuff. Kids shouldn't be drunk anymore than they should be in charge.
Besides, I don't think it'd be good for this. *points to belly*
*purses her lips, giving a sad smile*
I'm sorry we aren't so different. *if he carries what she does, then she's sorry he has to*

((I know, I didn't either, until I was writing it, and then I was like, woah, haha))
