Wow. Well that is pretty awesome. You could be an awesome super hero. Or someone super evil, if you ever tilted.

I can tell how powerful someone is by shaking hands. I get power readings, kinda like cell phone bars. I'm a two bar. Probably because it doesn't take a lot of power to be a remote control basically.

But, the baby is a five bar.

Not usually. People don't know I have a power at all usually. It's all internal. I use it to judge...what I can do, what I can't do, how I should act around someone.

It's a survival tool, more than anything.

It doesn't tell you all threats obviously. But where I'm from it's all about living to tomorrow, which isn't the easiest work.

I keep my power to myself around most people. People who aren't Alphas don't always understand... and some of them are out to get us. But then, other Alphas are out to get us too. It's a whole... who can get who first thing, I guess. That's why I've learned how to protect myself.

What's the threat where you're from? Why are people potentially after you?

Wow, that sounds dangerous. Are there a group of you. You did say team earlier? And do you all do different things?

It's good you've learned to protect yourself.

*chews her bottom lip*

Well mostly because of the gaiaphage. It's like this monster that rules pretty much everything. he wants my baby, so it can be born again. And he changes the rules of physics, reality, to try and win. Worms that eat through human flesh, cockroaches as big as cars, larger than normal coyotes that can talk. All work for the gaiaphage.

And then the kids with powers. Not all of them have the best of intentions, even before everything changed.

Drake was like a junior serial killer. The gaiaphage made him immortal. And gave him a snake whip for an arm. And he's trying to take me to it. So it can have my baby.

But mostly it's the gaiaphage. If we could stop it...

Wow... that's deep. Do you need help? Like... I could help protect you. If you want. I'm a good fighter.

There's a team that tries to stop other Alphas from using their abilities for bad. And we all do different things, like the fighters in the ring. I got to these fights and there was one guy who could spit acid. And another who could do these amazing acrobatics over the other fighters. You could never catch him.

Oh! And this guy, if you tried to fight him, you'd see four of him. But only one was the real him, so you were swinging at nothing.

Wow, that sounds complicated. Like you never know who to trust. Spitting acid and being four people. I thought my people could do strange things. That's definitely more deadly.
