*looks down at her hands, fidgeting a little, shaking her head*

Not that I wouldn't have loved to. But we don't have any. Well there's Dahra. But she's just a fifteen year old kid with a medical diagnostic book we stole from the library.

I'm not sure her medical opinion holds much water.

*nods and smiles*

Thanks. I can't pay you. I have...well...*gestures to herself, as if to say all she has is her dirty dress and shoes*

The baby seems to be growing really fast from everything I could read about pregnancy. I'm only four months along, but...

Four months? *blinks at you, looking shocked*

No. No, you're not going to worry about whether you can pay me, or anything like that. We're going to get you cleaned up, and we're going to make sure that your baby is okay, and that you're healthy. No fifteen year olds with med school textbooks for you, okay?

After that, well... shopping for women's clothes is WAY over my head, but I'm expecting my girlfriend any time now, and she's an expert when it comes to anything fashionable.

*gives him an uncharacteristic hug*

Thank you. I'm pretty sure I'm lacking some of the right nutrients. Food is sparse, and the same things. Mostly fish and vegetables though, so they've got to have some of the right things in them. Everyone here has fed me lots today.

Oh, I never went to see her. I knew she wouldn't have a clue. And she was dealing with the plague and some of it's after effects.

I went to the library and read every book I could find though. I wanted to know, you know, what to expect, as best I could. It's not like I had anyone to ask.

*laughs*

Well your girlfriends help would definitely be awesome. But I only have a little money. Back where I'm from, we mostly barter. With batteries and paper...
