FAQ (grabbed from teaser post so everything you need to know will be here in this post)
- you'll have opportunities to obtain clues by performing research and/or tasks
- clues are given 'per player' versus 'per character'
- you are welcome to wander into haunted rooms and share your clues/intel with others -- however, please do not talk about your clues outside the crack post (ie. chatrooms, IM, etc)
- Beware! A player may be possessed by the Crack Mansion Ghost and could feed you a false clue in an effort to divert suspicion to the false ghosts.
- the ghosts will not be characters or players in the game, so while it might sound like a game of mafia, it most assuredly is NOT. The ghosts are figments of my imagination only. Think scooby-doo not mafia. 'kay?

REVEALS
So, as advertised there are four ghosts. Only one is real, the other three are a hoax. The four ghosts are:
- the Governess - HOAX
There's a ghost of a former governess who was killed in the library by the lady of the house in a jealous rage. The governess was young and beautiful and the object of her husband's affections.
She wears yellow and was killed with an ice pick.
- the Drunk Patriarch - REAL!!
There's a ghost of a patriarch who haunts the place, wandering around drunk and banging into things. It's said he was killed by his son because he was a miser who kept the family fortune under lock and key.
He wears blue and was killed with a candlestick
- the Tortured Genius - HOAX
There used to be a musical genius that lived here, a tortured genius some would say. Mad. Insane. Once, in the grip of madness, they played music without stopping to rest or eat. They literally played to death. Some think their spirit lives on, forcing musical purity on this realm from beyond the grave.
He/She wears purple and was killed with poison
- the Cook's Husband - HOAX
The townsfolk used to tell stories about the cook that worked up here at the big house. She used to serve up human flesh in her infamous meat pies. Some said it was the only way she knew to hide the bodies of the people her husband killed. The last cook said that the husband's ghost still stops by trying to get rid of a body now and then.
He wears red and was killed with a fireplace poker
