If we didn't have enough on our hands after the attack from the aliens a freak global storm has passed over various cities just hours after the conformation that the aliens left the atomosphere. People had reported heavy winds, black clouds and hail the size of boulders falling from the sky. The phenomenon lasted for only a few moments before the weather immediately cleared up.

However that is not the strangest part of this story. All over the world people have been receiving superhuman abilities in the wake of the storm. Scientists are working vigorously to figure whether this storm which some are calling "an act from god" and the abilities everyone had received was from the aftermath of the attack or just a once in a lifetime event and find whether these conditions are perminant or can be cured.

How is this week gonna run?

This week is for the most part freeplay. Rp anywhere, NY, Guam, your grandmother's closet....just please follow the theme even if its for a two second obversation...if you feel the urge not to just rp in the old posts.

You guys get to chose your own powers. It is based on your character's personality....fears or desire (as shown on the TV Show "Misfits") if you guys have trouble I am making a thread to help you brainstorm powers Also refer to this lovely list if you need ideas, it goes by power and the character who owns it.
There is also gonna be a thread where you can list your powers so if theres a power that squicks someone....they can avoid the character for the week. (THANK YOU queer_theory FOR GIVING ME THE IDEA

Frequently Asked Questions
Does my character HAVE to have a power?
No they don't if you don't want to BUT you still must follow the theme....even if it means interacting with someone with a power or observing people having powers.

My Character is a Witch, Wizard, Shapeshifter, Etc... do we still get a power?
Yes they do, however for the week, any supernatural power they have is significantly weaker than that they receive from the storm.

Can we use it on other people?
Absolutely....however....with Super Powers and abilities RPs you are bound to find my number 1 Pet Peeve god modding....now I am lucky to have never had encountered it at CFB but with this week...and I've seen it on boards using this theme there is always room for firsts so heres a little posting guide to prevent it from happening and I wont have to cry tears of blood Example) Katniss and Irene are having a magic fight.

WHAT NOT TO DO Katniss: -shoots a fireball into Irene's hair..it catches fire and she laughs as the fire burns her hair off-

Irene -ducks before it gets into her hair-

Is it premanent?
Well it's up to you....but at the end of the week you will have an option to take a cure that will take away your power and restore you to yourself...but if you would like to keep it by all means go ahead!

UPDATES:

DAY 1: You are minding your own business when a freak storm comes....soon after you realize you have a superpower....have your character react to the storm and discover what power they have...if they realize they have it.
