Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to picturesque Lima, Ohio!

My name is Kurt Hummel, and I'll be your guide to my lovely little hometown, and the wonderful world of Glee Club.

If you love to sing and dance, this is the place for you! We're all going to have an amazing time this week, enjoy daily events, and have a friendly little competition to see just who is going to become the King or Queen of Glee!

There'll be challenges and fun galore, but first let's have a few rules. Boring, I know, but necessary to make sure everyone has fun!

So first, how do YOU, yes YOU! become the King or Queen of Glee Week? EARN THE MOST POINTS, of course!

There are two ways to earn points.

1. CHALLENGES!



Once or twice a day, at TOTALLY RANDOM TIMES, I will post a challenge for you! Your challenge will be a what-if scenario, something like: "you just adopted the world's cutest kitten." What you need to do is respond - IN SONG, OF COURSE! Tell us what you're singing (YouTube links are encouraged, but please don't embed for the sake of our lovely mobile users), if you're singing it with someone, and anything wacky that happens in the course of the song. Be as detailed as you want!

FIVE POINTS for the FIRST person to respond!
TEN POINTS for the person whose response is declared the MOST AMAZING by our impartial judges!
THREE POINTS for everyone who submits a challenge response!

Just make sure you get your response in before the next challenge is posted, so that your points will be counted. ((PIXIE'S NOTE: The video does not need to be of your character/actor singing. If they're singing a John Denver song, go ahead and post John Denver singing it. I know not all of you have vid clips of singing characters. It's just so people can hear the song!))

2. LIVE YOUR OWN MUSICAL!

Feel like bursting into beautiful, choreographed, over-the-top song outside of a challenge? DO IT!

If you're in the middle of hanging out in our lovely Lima, and something moves you to sing, please know that it's encouraged - even expected - in our little town. Post a comment letting us know what you're singing and why! Include as many details as you want, about who you're singing with, how many dozens of background dancers you have, etc. Please know that New Directions, the Cheerios, the Dalton Warblers and many others are always magically nearby and ready to jump in and help you out.

THREE POINTS for every MUSICAL MOMENT you throw in during your stay in Lima!

Just please make sure you put MUSICAL MOMENT in the title of your comment, so that your lovely host can find and grade it without damaging his manicure looking too hard. ((PIXIE'S NOTE: Again, these videos do not have to be OF your character, just of the song you're RPing them as singing.))

In addition to this, there'll be something fun going on in Lima every day, and I'll make sure to tell you all about the day's events every morning! You can also feel free to wander the city on your own, and find something to do. Places to stay, places to eat, places to have fun!

You could check out:

-William McKinley High School - Where my friends and I graduated from, and there's always SOMETHING going on. Everyone finds themselves at the school for something, eventually.

-Breadstix - It's sort of one of the only restaurants in town worth eating at. Faux-Italian, but it won't break the bank even if you're a high school student.

-The Lima Bean - My favourite coffee place, which fueled me through every late-night study session I ever had.

-North Hills Mall - Because everyone loves to shop. There's a thrift store that has served me well over the years, too.

-Scandals - The local gay bar, which I have since learned is anything but scandalous.

-Rinky Dinks - Roller skating! Roller disco, to be even more precise. More fun than most of us would like to admit.

PARTY AT THE HUDSON-HUMMEL HOUSE!

It's the end of an amazing week, and Noah and I have decided to wrap things up with a fabulous bash before my parents get back in town.

EVERYONE is invited to come and party. There's food, music, and drinks, of course - your amazing hosts wouldn't let you down, trust me.

Plus, you never know when I've got something up my sleeve... so show up, EVERYONE!
